On March 22, 2019, Microsoft will block the plan changes until we have announced the customer`s acceptance by MCA. This requirement exists worldwide for all Microsoft partners and customers – from direct, indirect resellers to CSPs. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism to extend this time frame. So it`s very important that we now update the recordings. A reseller in Microsoft`s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program, you are responsible for reviewing Microsoft`s terms and conditions, including the acceptable use of Microsoft products and services with customers. You must confirm that your end customers have agreed to MCA`s terms. On October 1, 2019, Microsoft implemented Microsoft`s customer agreement for the CSP program to replace the Microsoft Cloud agreement. Read additional instructions for indirect dealers. In order to facilitate the migration of partners to the new agreement, both agreements existed in the CSP programme until 31 January 2020. As of February 1, 2020, Microsoft`s customer agreement replaced the Microsoft Cloud agreement. In Germany, the penal code (section 203) and professional regulations require that certain customer relations be treated confidentially, such as the relationship between patients and their doctors and the relationship between lawyers and their clients. These professions must guarantee professional secrecy. In order to enable these and other professions to purchase cloud services from cloud solution providers, the cloud service provider must enter into a written agreement with the customer guaranteeing professional secrecy.
The updated MCA and MCRA conditions clearly show that privileged users are in a unique position that may prevent us from fulfilling our obligations to Microsoft under the CSP program, unless we are able to verify that all global administrators understand and accept these conditions. We have put in place a process that privileged users can follow to obtain such access. Thus, we have the signature recognition for privileged users, which includes a confirmation of the MCA, part of this process and an access requirement.
